Dr. Carolyn B. Mueller is a retired Professor of Strategic Management and International Business at Stetson University in DeLand, FL. She served as Chair of the Dept. of Management & International Business, Director of the International Business major, Chair of the University’s International Learning Council, and on the Executive Board of Directors of the World Affairs Council of Central Florida.
She served as Dean of teh AIBSE Fellows and numerous officer positions including Chair of the Academy of International Business-SE, and was an Associate Editor for International Business: Research, Teaching & Practice journal. She was also actively involved in the Academy of International Business, the Academy of Management, the Southern Management Association, The Institute for Multi-Track Diplomacy, Beta Gamma Sigma, and Mu Kappa Tau. She is a recipient of Stetson University’s Hand Award for Research, Creative, & Professional Activity; and the Stetson Business School’s Outstanding Service Award.
Dr. Mueller received her B.S.B.A. and MBA degrees from the University of Akron, and her Ph.D. in Strategic Management and International Business from the University of South Carolina-Columbia. She was an active researcher, focusing on cross-cultural strategic management and organizational effectiveness, cross-cultural top management team processes, corporate ethics and social responsibility, and teaching effectiveness. She has published over 60 articles in conference proceedings and journals, including the Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Asia-Pacific Business, Journal of Teaching in International Business, Journal of Small Business Strategy, International Business: Research, Teaching & Practice, Revista de Investigacion Administrativa, and others.
