Dr. George Nakos is Professor of Marketing at Clayton State University. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and his Doctorate in Business Administration from United States International University in San Diego, California. George has been teaching for the last 20 years at Clayton State University and has taught short courses and research seminars in many countries. He has received several awards and recognitions for his teaching, research, and service activities. In 2005 he received the prestigious Alice Smith outstanding professor of the year award given by Clayton State University.
In addition to his teaching and research activities, he has served in various committees both in the University and in the wider business community. He has been the chair of the University Curriculum committee and the University Promotion and Tenure committee. George’s research work focuses on small and medium-sized organizations and entrepreneurial activities. His work has been publishes in leading journals including, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Journal of International Marketing, Journal of International Management, International Business Review, Journal of Small Business Management, and Thunderbird International Business Review.
