Dr. Robert L. Engle is Chair and Professor of International Business at Quinnipiac University in Hamden Connecticut where he teaches international management and cross-cultural research courses in both the graduate and undergraduate programs.  For more than a decade, Dr. Engle has been an active and strong supporter of undergraduate research activity with some of his undergraduate students having been awarded “Best Papers” at various conferences including at AIBSE and Sigma Xi National Research Conferences.

Prior to teaching at Quinnipiac University, he held a number of industry positions over a 30 year period including the Vice President of Marketing and Sales Operations for the United States Bayer Pharmaceutical Division operations and Vice President of Global Sales Force Management for Bayer AG Healthcare Division in Leverkusen, Germany.  Current international research areas include entrepreneurship; emotional and cultural intelligence; and corporate social responsibility.  He received his doctorate in business management from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, a master’s degree in business at Quinnipiac University, a master’s degree in education at Towson University, and a baccalaureate in management at the University of Baltimore.  He has also been recognized as Quinnipiac University’s Faculty Scholar of the Year.
