DC Travel Information

DC

AIB-SE and the University of the District of Columbia are very excited to welcome you to Washington, D.C.

Three airports serve the DC metropolitan area: Baltimore (BWI), Washington Dulles (IAD), and Washington National (DCA). Of these, DCA is the closest and most convenient providing direct access on the Metro to both the UDC campus as well as both conference hotels. Due to perimeter restrictions, however, conference participants from the Western USA and international cities may prefer to fly non-stop to BWI or IAD.

Information on the Metro and other public transit options can be found at http://www.wmata.com UDC is at the Van Ness stop on the Red line in Northwestern DC. The Marriott is also on the Red line at the Woodley Park station.

General information on visas and entry requirements for the United States can be found here: https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/visit.html Note that AIB-SE will not issue visa invitation letters before submissions have been reviewed and accepted.

If you plan on spending time in Washington before or after the conference, you can find tourist information at www.washington.org
